No where. Wait. That is not true.
Mike arranged for a sitter on Feb 13th - Friday the 13th! And we went away to Niagara-on-the-lake, ON and stay at a haunted inn. To see the story, click on the Inn's website on the right and then the history button.
The inn was fun. Nice dinner fireside and some local brews. We didn't make a late night of it because Mike had works something like 90 hours that week and I didn't sleep well with RyanMan's help. [not ill, just restless]
Then Saturday night we took the kids to a Buffalo Bandits game. Who knew professional lacrosse was so much fun? They average 17,000 people in attendance! The place was totally overrun with people in neon orange. Weird. And weirder still - they talk during play and have music going and make fun of the other team over the PA system. Which makes for complete entrancement for the kids!
Sunday morning, I threw the kids in the car with an ungodly amount of stuff for one night and drove to Cleveland. Had a wonderful visit with Aunt Barbara, Uncle David, Bubbie, Zaydie and the instigator - Cousin Paula. Good visit even if the kids did get a bit bonkers.
On the way home we stopped in Erie at Chick-fil to see my friend Lisa and her son Ian. Bonus her husband Shawn met us for a while too. During dinner, I noticed a table topper and meant to take a pic and forgot. It said something about now serving breakfast yada yada, pick on of our healthy choices and a coca-cola zero. Um? Huh?? Reminded me of Mom's diet coke and snicker bar lunches of old.
Zoe and I were ready for a vacation after all this. And we have had a very nice relaxing week. Maybe some swimming tomorrow and then some grammie visits. RyMan is quite disappointed they are not here yet as he has some hugs to give out and they "won't keep."
