Passover

Today we went to the State House for a tour led by Grampie. The kids had finally noticed the building's gold dome on top and kept asking about it. I had never been inside for some strange reason. We learned all sorts of things and saw how small the Senate room is. While there the President Pro-Tem and the Lt Governor were chatting in the front of the room. They offered to take a picture with us and here we are with the Lt Governor:

It is funny though how some things don't change in our small state. Dad and the Lt Governor chit-chatted about where they had met previously. We ran into people that Mom & Dad know. One good friend of Mom's had a lunch date in the cafeteria with an old friend. We all ended up there at the same time. Turns out the guest friend was the mom of one of my grade school friends visiting from NC. And last but not least, the kids got to play on the cannons out front:

Ryan needed a boost up but Zoe is big enough to climb up on her own. While we were playing at the State House Mom was home preparing for our Passover sedar. Zoe wanted to do the "full" deal and we did a lot but there was definitely some skimming occurring. Ryan was not so into it. Eli had his bottle and then slept through the dinner. Zoe knew the deal with the afikomen and Ryan did a bit but boy, they don't know anything about negotiating. Dad offered them each a dollar and they accepted it without question.
