Headed over on Friday afternoon and arrived around 8pm. We needed dinner and Mike suggested Cracker Barrel - He'd seen one on the way in. I plugged it into the GPS unit which suggested two locations, both 5.4mi away in different directions. Mike said it didn't matter which one so I selected the first one. We ended up in this tiny village which a local pub named Cracker Barrel. Whoops. With two hungry crabby kids we picked the closest pizza place. Which was take-out only. Which was lucky because we found an awesome local place with yummy pizza and pasta. And an imported beer list that included Vermont beer.....
A small family blog to keep track of those cute or not so cute moments of being a mom. 'Cause who has time to actually fill in a baby book or make a scrapbook or even print photos from the camera.

Ben finished school!
Brother Ben is now Dr. Ben! On a whim Mike and I decided to join Mom and Josh in Connecticut for the big event. And a holiday - Mother's Day!

Saturday morning we headed over to Ben & Jen's [and Kyle too!] apartment. We hung out, ate breakfast and dodged raindrops until it was time to go to graduation.
Styling Ben under the gown.
Per the kids request we sat in the tip top row of the arena. In the special orange seats. Under the player of the year banner. Just in case you were wondering.
Josh being Josh didn't want to get Ben cooties. And this is what happens when Ben's hat is turned inside out and bent funny. Got questions? Talk to him.
Academic veteran big brother showing little brother how to adjust the graduate hood.
Sign of the times? To go with the modern regalia?
Zoe didn't actually enjoy the event. Not at all. Not one bit. Just ask her.
Ryan perked up a bunch when let loose outdoors but then lost it. And found his happy place once he could have a picture taken with Ben.
Deceptively happy kids with a genuinely happy Ben.
"Formal" graduation photo
Ben and his adviser. Who didn't think sitting through a graduation ceremony was worth doing. But felt he ought to congratulate Ben and his mother. So came by afterward for a photo op.
And everyone was photo-op-ing!
And the end of the trip. This is my mother's day dinner. I choose BBQ. Surprising there was only a 15min wait. Which was spent using all the electronics we had [can't see Mike's iphone but it was there and used]
