The week of breakables

Little RyMan is fascinated with all things related to cleaning. As a distraction I allowed him to play with a short broom [the kind you can use to sweep into a dustpan without bending all the way down] at the condo. However he choose to sweep the huge sliding glass doors. Broom removed from boy's possession.

Fast forward to next morning. I hadn't slept well and was trying to sleep in a bit. The boy was allowed to play with the broom again. Mike wandered away from kids to go make breakfast. The 3-foot monster decided to get the broom was meant for banging. On a glass table. Which shattered.

Friday's departure from Sarasota was complicated/delayed from picking up new glass table top from glass shop.

Fast forward to dinner last night at Aunt Rita's. Her house rarely sees small children and is full of breakable knick-knacks everywhere. The boy was bouncing around during dinner, refusing to sit etc as he can get when not exercised sufficiently [kinda like a certain dog we know???]

Boy boucing around table. Small cupboard for porcelein type dolls. Adults in chairs. Small gap. Boy wriggling past uncle. KNOCKS OVER something out of cupboard. Uncle catches, nothing broken. Phew.

Ry: That was embarassing!
